Guys 'n' gals:
Thank you for making this year's Masters another resounding success. Your commitment to the game is evidenced by the record number of people this year (61) and number of teams with the majority of their players participating. On behalf of myself and the rest of the Masters team (Frank, Pete & Tim), we enjoyed putting this together and our reward was seeing the game played at such a high level this weekend.
And my own personal thanks to...
* Frank Orsini, who helped me get this off the ground 4 years ago, and for helping every year for making it more successful than the year before.
* Pete Brennan, another right-hand man, for the Calcutta, for spreading the word around Hoboken, and a dozen other reasons. And a 5th place finish to boot!!
* Tim Edmonds, nobody else has done more for this league over the past two years. He helped plan this tournament with the same energy he approaches everything else in pool. Top Gun, Masters winner, the guy does it all.
* Rich Tang & Mark Beevers, for some amazing pictures and video taken during the tournament. Also thanks to Rich for printing out the tournament brackets, schedule, and everything else.
* Marc Heyhoe, for setting up the online registration on the "Hoboken Masters" website amongst a very hectic work schedule.
* The Willow staff (Gary, Jeff, Carlitos and Sue) for putting in the extra time over the weekend and their A+ hospitality.
Feel free to post any funny stories, lasting impressions, or even quotes from the '05 Masters to this Forum. As my own reminder of how far this tournament has come, I said this as people started piling into Willow on Saturday morning: "Hey Frank, remember when we used to be able to do this in one day??"
Thanks again, everyone. Hope to see most of you at the Regional next weekend!
Cheers,
Jason
