"So, THAT's Darren, I'd heard about him but never seen or met him"
"So, THAT's Max, I'd heard about him but never seen or met him"
"So, THAT's Wilson, I'd heard about him but never seen or met him"
"So, THAT's Jude, I'd heard about him but never seen or met him"
It is the one event that brings the whole community together. Great stuff. |
Other quotes:
"Can you move my Saturday match to earlier in the morning? I have to watch the Ireland vs. England game."
me: "That's amazing what Pete V has accomplished. Man, maybe I should break my thumb this year."
Warren: "We can arrange that."
"I'm not going to be able to finish the tournament. I have a date tonight and I have to be in the city by 9:00pm." |

my favs included "how can he miss that shot" by the drunks crowded around table 3 that were incredibly annoying, bothersome, and downright rude towards the lower skill levels playing on aforementioned table. but that is just my $0.02

I'm embarrassed for the people who did that (and allowed it to happen). That kind of crap has no place in the Masters. |

to be fair, it is entirely feasible they were discussing a table not in front of them.
but really it was just crowded up there. no biggie. i'm over it, i had fun. |

for 3 days ive been reading the aftermath of this event and ive read and heard from others that the calcutta was very exciting! i would have thought with the exceptions of those FEW with a brain, that you would have taken yourselves into the relm of obscurity!!! i would like to thank MAX, WARREN, JUDE, TIM, FRANK, and all the others who made this THE most exciting event that the hoboken pool leauge has ever seen! AND HOPEFULLY next year those who objected to the way the cacutta was run WONT EVEN SHOW UP next year !!!!(thats a good exclusionary rule!)Because, not even a slight mention of an apology lets me realize with no consequences! how can there be ?If you are people with the voice of authority then you put yourselves in a position of a right and wrong value! and since no mention of retract was noted through this forum for the fucked way i was treated, you give up those rights ! for those who are assholes please people dont act like your my friend unless you come at me with an apology first, you know who you are! unlike Peter who did. thanxs Pete it takes a man to admit that they were wrong (even to me) lol
Tim, i felt bad you didnt come in closer to the respect of the calcutta i was
in your corner, Max that was some chess match we had look foward to bucking heads with you again in the future. Warran, you sly dog!!! nice going on the late bids you really fucked me up!!!!!! (real fun) Jude, were's my envolope!!!!!!! only kidding, good job! you know i cost myself 2000 dollars for being a good guy! but its worth it, i like my reputation more than money (thats more than i can say for most) and thanxs for being the voice of reason! Frank, Jason, Amy, and all those who played a part in the organization of this event WELL DONE!!! and that comes from one who has had alot of experience down that road!
NOW for all you cry babies its open field on ronnie day! please show your ignorance with a responce for the negative! though it will be a shame i cant read it ,IM off to the Atlantice (bahamas) for a re-cooperating session. SEE you all in a couple of weeks! |
